- Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you.
I once had an audition to be a weather presenter for a TV show in the UK called the Big Breakfast. It was an early morning breakfast show in the 90s. I did quite well actually but didn’t make the TV finals.
- What is your philosophy of life?
Allow yourself to make mistakes, that’s the only way you are ever going to Learn…
- What do you do outside of work?
Out of I Heart Studios, I work on other projects within the fashion industry. I’m involved with London Queer Fashion Show which is an incredible event celebrating queer fashion design talent. It also allows me to work with up and coming designers, where I would mentor them. In addition, I am also a cool hunter/trend spotter – so I am always on the lookout for emerging trends, so you’ll sometimes see me out and about looking at street fashion.
Here are some backstage images of the LQFS 2019 show, and me on stage at Vicenza Fair with Paola De Luca, world-renowned trend forecaster and my mentor.
Before venturing into the world of fashion e-commerce, I have had quite a varied career, doing many jobs from client development, client services, styling, art direction and much more.
I started my career working for Drapers, the UK’s fashion business weekly, and then I was promoted to be the Commercial Lead for Retail Jeweller. I was once the Head of Fashion and Advertising at Gay Times and was the Fashion Director of ASBO magazine.
